Savannah's first community fridge was started in late January 2026 as a collaboration between Goodfortune Market and Savannah Urbanist Society. Located at the corner of Waters Ave and Maupas, this fridge is 100% free to participate with. There are no signups or payments required. The fridge is open 24/7. 

This is a mutual aid effort that operates on a "take what you need,  leave what you can" model, powered by neighbor donations. the fridge is more of a food sharing experience, rather than a traditional food charity event. 

The fridge receives a diverse range of guests, so we request a diverse range of foods.  Such as, produce, bread, snacks, hydration drinks, sandwiches and prepared food. We ask that if you choose to bring prepared food, those are labeled and dated.
